UPDATE! Stone House Creek Ranch will deliver Holstein steers to the Alta Vista Meat Company on October 22, 2024 to be cut into halves. These steers were part of our son's 4H project for the 2023 and 2024 county fairs. He raised them from about 1 week old.

When you place your order, we reserve one or more 1/2 steers for you (depending on the quantity you choose). Since weights vary by steer, the deposit you pay now is just $100. Once your actual order weight is known (on October 23, 2024), we let you know the final price and send you an invoice for the remainder minus your deposit of course.

NOTE: We price our beef at $2.80 per pound of "hanging weight" which is on average about 370 pounds per 1/2 steer. 370 x $2.80 is $1,036.00 so you have an idea of the approximate total cost. For those who have never bought hanging meat before: it is important to understand that the yield of meat will be less than the hanging weight.

IMPORTANT: You will pay Alta Vista Meat Company for processing and cutting your beef. They have an online form or will take orders over the phone. They are the friendliest meat locker we have ever dealt with.
